While spending time with my girlfriend’s family, I yapped (as I tend to), to just about anyone who wanted to chat! And let me tell you, I got to meet so many folks I never would have and yet they are exactly who I need to speak to.
Farmers and beekeepers (one with THE BEST wildflower honey I’ve ever had) recovering from the recent storms. Butchers with spouses who have preexisting conditions. Beautiful candles in handmade vessels from Mexico. And a very passionate Mexican lady with the best (and surprisingly allergy friendly)empanadas!
I thought about how I’ve been brought to so many places that were meant to touch my heart. To so many people whose stories will never leave me. I only hope I can do them all proud in the ways I continue to live and fight for them.
